William B. Brennan, Partner
Biography
William “Bucky” Brennan is a Partner at the Arriola Law Firm who represents individuals, families, and businesses in civil litigation, criminal defense, employment law, probate, and commercial disputes. He has appeared before the Superior and Supreme Courts of Guam, the District Court of Guam, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Bucky helps clients navigate a wide range of legal challenges — from defending against criminal charges and resolving employment disputes to litigating property and contract disputes, handling procurement protests and appeals, and representing clients in foreclosure, collection, and probate proceedings. Bucky leverages his litigation experience to protect and advance his clients’ interests at every stage of a case—from developing sound trial strategy and persuasive advocacy, to drafting winning motions and appellate briefs, to managing discovery, negotiating favorable outcomes, and crafting effective settlement strategies.
Beyond the courtroom, Bucky serves as legal counsel to banks, insurers, telecommunications companies, maritime operators, and government agencies. He advises on compliance with federal and Guam laws, including EEO laws (Title VII, ADEA, ADA), HIPAA, the Jones Act, and Guam’s Open Government Law. He also drafts and reviews commercial agreements, assists with secured transactions, conducts due diligence, and supports clients in real estate and financing transactions.
Before joining the firm, Bucky served as Senior Law Clerk to the Honorable Anita A. Sukola of the Superior Court of Guam, where he gained valuable insight into judicial decision-making. He also worked as a Senior Policy Analyst in the Guam Legislature and in business development for a federal contractor, gaining experience in government procurement and compliance.
Bucky earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Penn State Law, where he received the Conrad A. and Rocco C. Falvello Award, multiple CALI Excellence for the Future Awards, and was inducted into the Woolsack Honor Society. He is admitted to practice in Guam, the District Court of Guam, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
